Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Tomo (“The Case Log”), operated by Tomo Surgical, Inc. By creating an account or starting a subscription, you agree to them.

1. What Tomo is

Tomo is an educational and personal record-keeping tool for your own surgical training. It is not medical advice, not a system of record for patient care, and not a substitute for your clinical judgment, your institution's systems, or the medical record. You are solely responsible for all clinical decisions, and for keeping patient-identifying information out of Tomo entirely.

Tomo helps you log procedure-level technique, attending pearls, and template structure, and assembles a pre-case “Procedure Brief.” Your case log lives in your own Notion workspace.

2. AI-generated content

Some features use AI to help draft templates and structure your notes. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. It is a study and drafting aid only — you must independently verify anything you rely on clinically, including any codes, references, or technique suggestions. Nothing generated by Tomo is medical advice.

3. Eligibility & your account

You must be a medical trainee or professional and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure.

4. Subscription, billing & auto-renewal

Tomo is a recurring subscription that renews automatically. New subscriptions include a 7-day free trial; you are not charged until the trial ends. After the trial, your plan renews automatically at the then-current price for your billing period (monthly or annual) until you cancel. You authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method each period.

  • Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from Settings → the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues through the end of the paid period.
  • Price changes. We may change prices with notice; changes apply to renewals after the notice period. Any “founding” rate offered as locked applies as described at the time of that specific offer.
  • Refunds. We don't offer automatic refunds, but if something went wrong, email us — we'll make it right where reasonable.

5. Acceptable use

  • Never enter patient-identifying information — names, MRNs, dates of birth, contact details, or clinical history tied to a person. Tomo is built to hold procedure-level content only.
  • Don't misuse, probe, or disrupt the service, or use it unlawfully.
  • Don't resell or share your individual subscription.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of your content, which lives in your own Notion workspace. You grant us the limited permission needed to operate the features you use (for example, assembling your brief). See our Privacy Policy and Security page for how data is handled.

7. Disclaimers

Tomo is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI output is accurate or complete. Your use is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tomo Surgical, Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Changes & termination

We may update these terms; material changes are reflected by the “last updated” date. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using Tomo at any time.
